Senusret III Pyramid, Dashur

"No Data"
Hard to get to this one because of the military installations and the oil refinery.
Best solution is turn right before the Dashur entrance, follow the canal and search for the causeway leading to the pyramid.
Impressive complex, lots of restoration going on there.

The White Pyramid of Amenemhat II at Dashur

"Amememhet is Well Cared For"
Completely destroyed, looks like a big pile of sand. Substructure can be accessed between the limestone blocks in the crater.
Don't go to the pyramid from the tourist road or you will probably have problems... follow the pipeline. And don't use Ektachrome EPL 400 on a sunny day or all your photos will be overexposed like this one.

The Black Pyramid of Amenemhat III at Dashur

"Amenemhat is beautiful"

The dangerous area of the Black Pyramid. Gangs of looters are working with bulldozer and machine gun from sunset to sunrise. Illegal cementary is being build by the Dashur mafia and is getting closer to the pyramid. Armed police is watching from the bent pyramid as nobody is supposed to be here. Looters holes are everywhere since the 2011 revolution, watch your step !

The Pyramid of Khendjer, South Saqqara

"No data"
Very peaceful place, but not much to see here.
Access the chamber of the queen pyramid which is full of garbage.
Find the empty sarcophagus lying in the desert.

As always, have a nice tea with the guard.
Wander around, there are a few unexcavated pyramids and the unfinished pyramid is not far away.

Pyramid of Djedkare-Isesi, Central Saqqara

"Beautiful is Djedkare"

The causeway is heading straight into the Saqqara village in a mosq. Access the pyramid via the causeway and ask the guards if you can visit the place.
Many blocks from the temple are scattered everywhere. Substructure is closed

Lepsius 1 Mudbrick Pyramid at Abu Rawash

"No data"

Completely destroyed, the rock core remains with various caves including entrance to the burial chamber. The Abu Roash youth meet at the top of the pyramid at night to smoke cigarettes and enjoy the point of view. Strangely, none of them believe this was once a mudbrick pyramid...

Pyramid of the "Unknown Queen", Central Saqqara

"No Data"

Located northeast corner of the wall surrounding Djedkare's pyramid. It can be accessed easily from the Saqqara village.
